The annual One World Festival will take place this Saturday (10am-5pm) and Sunday (10am-4pm) at the International House, Osaka. It is a big cultural exchange festival and they have things like picture book readings (great for kids), food & drink and games. I might not be able to go because of prior engagements but it is a great opportunity to meet people and have a bit of fun (free too). If you are interested, you can find more info here:

Taken directly from the English translated pages:
One World Festival is a “Festival of international cooperation connected with the world to feel, to touch, and to help each other”, in which major NGOs, the ODA, the UN, educational institutions and companies in the Kansai region come together. Various programs related to international understanding or cooperation will be presented through exhibitions, symposiums, an ODA town meeting, field reports, discussions on international understanding and development education, an environmental experience corner and much more.
You can also enjoy ethnic food, music and folk dancing, try on traditional clothes and play Asian games. We are sure you’ll have fun while gaining a greater understanding of the world and international cooperation.
Please come and join us!
